AN AMAZING REVIEW IN THE SOUNDBOARD MAGAZINE: THE JOURNAL OF THE GUITAR FOUNDATION OF AMERICA. Vol. 47 No. 4 December 2021:
“Uncharacteristically, the fìrst CD in this set is not a very new work, or one dedicated to Mr.Levin. Eduardo Morales-Caso's Concierto de La Herradura received its premiere in 2012 with Maria Esther Guzmán as soloist, and this premiere was recorded. But since this recording most likely can't be found, Levin's version is more than welcome. The fìrst movement, "Allegro brillante," is powerful and inventive, with thrusting lines and irregular meters. It is technically challenging, but Levin has taken its measure completely. The second movement, "Larghetto malinconico," is a masterful work mixing intense guitar lines with clouds of (largely) string sound, which seem to inhabit an otherworldly musical plane. It is a very special thing. "Vivo con fuoco" concludes the concerto excitingly, bringing back material from the fìrst movement. Throughout the work, Morales-Caso is careful to ensure that the guitar is always heard, often playing by itself then neatly dovetailing with the orchestra. lt is a fine work, and I hope that it will actually be heard in concert. One can dream.”

After the reading and presentation of his doctoral thesis: National identity in the works for voice and piano by Gisela Hernández and Harold Gramatges at the Complutense University of Madrid on 25th April 2014, the composer Eduardo Morales-Caso was awarded his Doctorate in Music, achieving the highest category of Distinction "cum laude". This thesis was overseen by Dr. Victoria Eli Rodriguez, Head of the Musicology Department at the Complutense University of Madrid.
Tras la lectura y presentación de su tesis doctoral: Lo nacional en la obra para voz y piano de Gisela Hernández y Harold Gramatges, el pasado 25 de abril de 2014 en la Universidad Complutense de Madrid, el compositor Eduardo Morales-Caso obtiene el grado de Doctor en Música con la máxima calificación de Sobresaliente cum laude. Esta tesis ha sido dirigida por la Dra. Victoria Eli Rodríguez, Profesora Titular del Departamento de Musicología de la Universidad Complutense de Madrid.
